The Role
Subly is looking for an experienced Front-End Developer to join our growing team. We are exploring cutting-edge technologies in accessibility and need someone who is passionate about creating seamless, user-friendly interfaces that make our platform even more accessible and impactful. As a key contributor to the front-end team, you'll work on building and enhancing responsive and performant web applications while collaborating closely with cross-functional team members.
Reporting to the Product Owner, you will assess our current front-end architecture, propose and implement improvements, and contribute to shaping the future of accessibility technology.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance the user interface of our primary product.
- Actively participate in daily scrums and sprint planning meetings.
- Drive continuous improvement of our front-end frameworks and component libraries.
- Ensure accessibility (WCAG compliance), responsiveness, and usability across all platforms.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, backend developers, and stakeholders to create efficient, reusable, and scalable systems.
- Stay current with emerging front-end technologies and integrate them into live projects when applicable.
- Contribute to a culture of best practices, including code reviews and testing.
About You
- Experience: 6–8 years of front-end development experience, with deep expertise in React, Typescript, and modern state management tools.
- UI/UX Knowledge: Experience implementing designs and interactions that align with best practices in user experience and accessibility standards.
- Tool Proficiency: Strong familiarity with Git, GitHub, Jira, and Agile/Scrum workflows.
- Accessibility (nice to have): Solid understanding of WCAG guidelines and accessibility testing tools.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to build user-facing features from early-stage prototypes to polished products.
- Communication: Upper-intermediate level of spoken and written English.
- Nice to Have: Familiarity with backend systems (Node.js, Postgres) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
